Do you work on furnaces?
We only work on boilers (hot water and steam heat). If your home is heated by warm air blowing out of vents, then you have forced air heat, which we do not work on.
Do you work on boilers?
Yes. We service all makes and models of steam and hot water boilers that are natural gas and L.P. fueled.
We are considering installing in-floor radiant heat. Does your company do that?
Yes. We do new installations and service on existing in-floor radiant heat systems.
What is your hourly rate?
We charge $135 per hour for plumbing labor and $150 per hour for boiler labor. There is a one hour minimum, and by 15 minute increments thereafter. We do not have a trip charge but we do charge from the time we leave the previous job until we are finished with your job (portal to portal), so you do pay one way travel. We try to schedule our jobs geographically to minimize travel time whenever possible.
Do you take care of plugged drains?
Yes. We do all types of drain cleaning, including sewers. We also have the equipment to camera a drain.
How are payments handled?
We will mail an invoice to you, which is due upon receipt. Payments by check are accepted. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. If you are paying by credit card, call the office at (517) 646-6222 with your invoice date and invoice number and we will take your credit card information over the phone. There is a 3% charge on the total invoice when paying by credit card.
Do you work on dishwashers?
If you are having a problem with the water to the dishwasher or the waste leaving the dishwasher, we can help with that. However, if the dishwasher itself is malfunctioning, an appliance repair person would be needed. If you need to replace your dishwasher, we can install the new one.
How about remodeling?
Yes. We offer complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling services. We have a relationship with local carpenters, drywallers, electricians, and tile setters, so that we can take care of the entire project, start to finish.
I have older plumbing fixtures in my house that leak. Can you help?
Very often our experienced plumbers are able to rebuild your existing fixtures. If they are not repairable, we are able to replace any fixtures.
I’ve heard the newer water saver toilets don’t flush very well.
That used to be true. However, over the last several years, major improvements have been made in the flushing mechanism of the toilets now available that work extremely well, in addition to using much less water than the older toilets.
Do you do backflow prevention device testing?
Yes. Several of our plumbers are certified to do this service.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold Plumbing Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, and Boiler Installer licenses from the State of Michigan. All of our employees are either Master Plumbers, Journeyman Plumbers, or registered Apprentice Plumbers. We carry vehicle, liability, and worker’s compensation insurance.
